Event Overview: This conference will be a gathering of executives from multiple industries responsible for fighting the growing problem of loyalty program fraud. As companies improve their defenses against credit card fraud, it is driving fraud to a new channel - loyalty programs. Loyalty Program fraud is also complicated by consumers not treating loyalty accounts as they would a bank account, meaning the points or miles may be long gone before consumers realize that the miles for their next dream vacation or their points for their next big screen T.V. have been lost. And what law enforcement agency will get involved in a loyalty fraud case, leaving both Loyalty Programs and consumers without this support. This conference will examine all aspects of this compliicated issue, while also serving to launch the Loyalty Fraud Prevention Association (LFPA).

Event Theme - "Beating the Fraudsters?": This event will share best practices to reduce loyalty fraud, improve margins and beat the fraudsters, as well as offer the relevant contacts to help you achieve these. Scroll down to see the agenda.

Registration from $699 USD (loyalty program operators) and $999 USD (vendors  & financial services companies) is available until on/before Friday, May 19th. Registration Notes: Registration is $100 additonal for payment by check or bank transfer. LFPA Members are entitled for 50% off registration.

Fraud presents itself in many ways, and fraudsters are constantly evolving how they perpetrate fraud.  As people find more ways to defraud organizations with loyalty programs, it becomes important for these organizations to find proactive ways to address this potential fraud. This presentation will cover a variety of techniques that can be used to detect and prevent loyalty fraud, including business rules, peer group analysis, fraud models, and social network analysis.  As we review these techniques, we will highlight the pros and cons of each technique and highlight how a hybrid approach to loyalty fraud that incorporates multiple techniques is more effective than using the techniques in isolation.
